Rashford, a 22 years of age has develop some similar achievements of what Cristiano Ronaldo had done for United. At 22 old of age,he has scored 59 goals compared to Ronaldo who scored 55 goals at age 22 for United.
Rashford is the youngest Englishman to score on his international debut.
On 30th May 2016, Rashford signed a contract with United and became the runner-up for the best European player Under 21 in the Golden Boy award .
On May 27, 2016, His first game as a senior player was against Australia at the Stadium of Light which he scored the first goal and won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award.
In early 2017, there were rumors about Manchester united and Rashford leaving the club. It was false, he didn’t leave the club instead he signed a new contract with United.
At the EFL League Cup (this season), Rashford has performed well especially the free-kick against Chelsea.
According to the Guardian, Solskjaer said,"very easy to compare Marcus Rashford to Cristiano Ronaldo. Marcus Rashford had a very similar ‘skills, body shape, attitude, self esteem and everything’ to Cristiano Ronaldo ."
Since Solskjaer took over the club, Marcus Rashford has been performing well.
